New Course: Introduction to Electronic Logging Devices

Training for the ELD Mandate

With the ELD mandate upon us, knowing the basics of ELDs is important for your drivers. You can’t assume a driver coming in from another fleet has experience with electronic logs, nor a driver fresh out of CDL school. So our new Introduction to Electronic Logging Devices talks about the the importance of being logged in, different duty statuses, why they can't chuck the user manual, and how the ELD can save the driver time and frustration.

You're making a large investment in a complicated piece of technology. Train your people and give them a chance to succeed.

Hosting Training for Your Specific Device

With more than 200 registered ELDs on the market, we didn’t try to cover every feature from every device. If you’re interested in training for your fleet’s specific device, we can host your provider’s training videos on Sentix to be viewed as a PRO-TREAD course. You can even add sections explaining your fleet’s standard operating procedures. And you can quiz drivers to make sure they understand. (It’s possible we already have the OEM content — just contact our client service team. If not, we’ll work with you to track it down.)

Is This an HOS Course?

The Introduction to Electronic Logging Devices course is not an Hours of Service course. For that, we have two options: Hours of Service and Hours of Service - Sleeper Berth. Both of these courses are up-to-date with the rules and regulations. You may want to look at our tailored training plans and learn how you can schedule and assign training with our Sentix LMS.

Keeping the Course Up-to-Date

And because the status of the ELD mandate has been so hotly debated and kept so many lawyers off the unemployment rolls, ITI will keep the courses up-to-date on any new regulation change that goes live.
