Help Us Help You

All of the following steps assume that you’re on a computer where you can update the software. If you’re on a public computer (or a computer which you cannot update the software), skip to Step 2. If that doesn’t work, contact us at or call PRO-TREAD technical support at 877-778-7323, ext. 2123.

Step 1: Make Sure Your Browser is Up-to-Date

Why do we recommend Chrome and Firefox? Because Internet Explorer crashes or stops working seemingly at random. Not because of our software, just because. Luckily, Microsoft has provided tips when it stops working.

Step 2: Clear Your Browser’s Cache Memory

Clearing your cache can significantly improve the speed and performance of your browser.

  1. Click Tools and select Options on the Firefox menu bar.
  2. Click the Privacy Icon on the Option menu bar to open the Privacy Properties.
  3. Click Clear across from the Cache option.
  4. Click Ok to return to the browser main page.
  5. Exit and relaunch the browser.

Internet Explorer 7+
If you have older version of Internet Explorer, use these instructions to clear your cache.

  1. Select Tools -> Internet Options.
  2. Open ‘General’ tab.
  3. In ‘Browsing history’ area click ‘Delete’ button.
  4. In ‘Delete browsing history’ window click ‘Delete files’. This will delete all the files that are currently stored in your cache.
  5. Click ‘Yes’, and then click ‘Close’.

Apple Safari

  1. Select Safari -> Empty Cache.
  2. Click ‘Empty’ on the ‘Are you sure?’ message box.
  3. Exit and relaunch the browser.

iPhone & iPad Safari

  1. Tap the Settings app (typically on your home screen).
  2. Tap the entry in Settings for Safari.
  3. Tap the option listed as “Clear Cache”.
  4. Tap the “Clear Cache” option on the confirmation pop-up.

If you have a browser not listed here, such as American Online (AOL), try these instructions.
